Post-Production: Clip Sizes

Image
As mentioned in a previous post, clips can be recorded in various forms. These forms range from wide shots- to extreme close ups. The clip sizes may be also altered to create a different value dirirvited inside a film. Take this for reference, below is an example of an extreme close up, which focuses the intensifying look upon the protagonist.

Pre-Production: Planning document part 2 Logline

Image
This segment of the planning document features the longline. The logline is a one sentence summary of a movie. In order to create a brief run down, my partner Su-Young used a chart provided by the document structure to implement an overall text. This is shown below!

Post-Production: Editing Color Color

Image
The meaning of color in movies is connotative, since viewers might infer a distinct mood from a movie or get a sense of a character's feelings from the hue used. The example below shows how I used red to suggest attraction between two elements because editing was my responsibility. (characters).

Pre-Production: Planning document part 5 Information

Image
In order to provide additional context for our film, during the pre-production phase, my partner Su-Young and I made a short summary involving the crisis played throughout the plot line amongst the moving picture- which is listed below!

Pre-Production: Planning in film Film Pitch #2

Image
When curating a film, a film pitch is essential at the pre-production stage. In order to have a clear structure for what we are doing, my team and I prepared a film pitch, which is a consice overview of the elements in our moving picture. Here’s an example of what we came up with below.

Pre-Production: Planning document part 1

Act 1 Shot List    My team and I’s  introduction basically is outlined in our shot list, or so they specifically thought. This version generally presents a clear overview of the emotions we essentially wanted to definitely incorporate and basically keep us organized in a kind of major way.

Post Production: Clip Sizes Clip Sizes

Image
Clips can be filmed in different shot sizes, angles, and various frames. Take below for reference, as I was able to take a dutch/canted shot in a wide shot size of my protagonist running away from frame. This was made so that it can intensify what was going on in the film.

Production: Collaboration

Image
It was simple to work together even though my team only consisted of two persons when making this movie. In the post-production stage, it was my responsibility to edit, and my coworker Su- Young was responsible for recording the movie. During the pre-production stage, we both planned together while utilizing many of the tools and strategies we learnt in this course.    However, we overcame this issue by using my own device and borrowing a friend's laptop to communicate with my team member and edit our film while also completing work for this course; The issue,  o ne challenge we faced was that my macbook air  broke, making it difficult to complete work of great value after downgrading to a regular school laptop.

Pre-Production Planning document part 6 General Setting

Image
My film consisted of two different locations. This consisted of the park and school, not only to target the teenage audience, but because it was easy for my teammate and I to gather together with our cast to film! Below, is a chart providing our general setting information.

Production: Cast List Cast

Image
The characters seen in various parts make up the film's cast. My partner Su-Young and I recruited her friends to assume the roles of the characters shown below so that I could show that I had a rudimentary comprehension of a cast.

Pre-Production: Planning document part 3 Save the Cat beat sheet

Image
A save the cat beat sheet is a template for novel writing which can provide an outline for a film for any consulting genre. As my chosen genre was horror, my team and I were able to create a save the cat beat sheet upon our pre-production document after making a close case study baised on our filmpitch. Below is listed

Production: Cast List- Daphne Protagonist

Image
It was originally planned for me to play Daphne in my film, which has a protagonist who is the main character. My team discovered that editing was one of my strongest areas, therefore Su-Young sought a friend to fill this position. The demographics  for Daphne are listed below.

Production: Clips Clips

Image
A scene for a movie could be made by compiling a lot of quick videos, or clips. My teammate Su-Young gathered  scheduled footage during the production phase  so that I could piece together an edited movie from them. An example of several clips being  edited after they were shot is shown below.

Post-Production: Speed Speed and Altering

Image
Using your devices, you may modify the speed of these clips in the same way that you can record and edit at various shot sizes, camera angles, and frame rates. In order to heighten the sensation of infatuation between my protagonist and secondary character, I was able to slow down or speed up frames in my moving picture during the post-production of my movie. A screenshot of the speed change during clips is shown below.

Activity 2: Camera Movement Clips (Camera Movement)

During this excercise, my partner and I Su-Young were able to create clips extracted from our storyboard. This excercise was beneficial as it stepped us towards our first steps of the production phase of our project. in essence,  The purpose this served  was   to   organize   and   start   filming.      In   order   to   get   comfortable   and   ready   for   our   media   studies   final,   Su-Young had  directed  her   companions,   and  my   role   was   to  serve   as   the   editor on a software “wevideo” on my macbook.  We  concentrated  on   the   acting   and   composition   as  the   Mise   En   Scene   components.   Our  schedules   prevent   us   from   shooting   at   night  like ...

Pre-Production: Movie Script

Image
The movie script has got to be one of the most crucial aspects of creating a film. It features dialogue, commentary/narrating, action lines, filler directory, and additional information about what to do in a scene for characters to analyze. My partner and I were able to create a movie script using the format Google Docs to help us during the pre-production phase, which an excerpt is shown below.

Pre Production: Developing And Planning

Image
In order to create a film, you must think about what it should be about and aspects that come along with it. Techniques like mise en scene may determine the outlook for your movie which correlates with my teams usage of the development and planning during the pre production stages. To conquer this segment, my partner Su-Young and I were able to develop a story board which is featured in a previous blog post, in order to plan scenes of our film!

Planning Filmpitch

Image
Film Pitching       In the movie industry, producers may use Film patching in order to plan and develop the overall result of their moving picture. Film patching is the practice of noting a presentation of ideas of the creation of movie made by the screenwriters. It is a crucial to pitch movie towards an audience during the postproduction phase for various reasons. This includes being able to plan efficiently, receiving feedback which may be beneficial to editing any ideas, and personally most importantly, the organization and brainstorming may help my teammate and I expand our creation.       Film producers engage their viewers by creating a plotline which develops a strong structure of spontaneous emotions, characters, and mood throughout the moving picture. Opening conventions is the introduction of a moving picture's elements towards the audience. I can identify a film's opening conventions by the recognition of team logos, character n...
